DIY: Galaxy Slip-Ons

There’s a trend roaming the streets these days, and it’s out of this world. It appears fashion is ready to take on space as galaxy prints are popping up on cat-walks, and in fashion boutiques alike. To channel the current trend, I’ve taken my comfy black Slip On’s, and took them to an other worldly level. 

Here’s what you need: All black shoes - preferably slip-on’s since they have extra canvas for you to work with. Acrylic paint: Blue, white, yellow, green, & purple. Paint brush, and of course plenty of newspaper to lay out, as this DIY can get a little messy.

1. Begin dabbing a paint dipped towel unevenly on shoe. Don’t blend, as this the galaxy is anything but perfectly blended.

2. Once all your colors have been gently smudged on top of shoe, it’s time to get messy with your paintbrush, and begin splattering the white paint all over shoe. Be careful not to get any on your clothing as it will more and likely ruin your fabulous apparel.

3. Let shoes dry for a couple of hours. Then POW! You’ve got yourself ready to wear galaxy printed  Slip On’s. -brittany
